Yes, the long awaited Prologue to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl has arrived and with all the same kind of pre-alpha game play and stability we've all come to tolerate.. almost. This game can't be finished. It can't. The faction wars have been improved but I'll be damned if it doesn't cause a whole set of new glitches and failures, such as: friendly fire, spontaneously canceled missions, and the AI eating its own head. Money is now very hard to come by. In the first game, I easily hoarded a million rubles in no time. Now I've yet to hit $30,000 as you need to spend your shit to get places and do things.
It's just that: shit. Worst new game I've played since Fall of Liberty. That's all. I have nothing else. It's unbelievably HORRIBLE. EA is trying it's damnedest to kill this franchise and I'm surprised they haven't already with the last 3 games. Good night.
Well, it's official. Unreal Tournament 2004 has been modded into extinction and I must say it was done rather pathetically. There is not a single populated or playable server left that doesn't have 5 gigs of extra shit to download. New (ugly ass) mods have been added to every single gametype and those that weren't modded were those that were not popular in the first place (ie. bombing run). I mean, it's pretty hard to annihilate a game of CTF, but these fuckers did it. It's dead. All dead. Onslaught is filled with bots only now and invasion is nothing but shitty custom monster packs and noob ass role playing gayness. You do nothing but hold down the trigger and spin on your cock. Oh well. It wasn't all that great of a game anyway. It has gone the way of so many others. It now joins the ranks of games like Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat as well as others like Commander Keen and any game on LoneDust's or Mororvia's shelf.
I'm a huge Quake fan, especially when it comes to Quake 2. I was also a huge ET fan until the game came down to a medic deathmatch. So when I heard that they were making Enemy Territory: Quake Wars I damn near made in my pants. After downloading and playing all I can say is.....
I've been waiting all this time for THIS?!?!
Control and movement are sluggish and rough.
The graphics are messy.
The model and textures are abrasive and disorganized.
You can't steal vehicles.
The weapons are all super accurate.
Vehicles and base defenses....???????????
Sure some of these things can be helped in due time....SOME. They've really stuck their foot in their mouths this time though. I distinctly remember a claim that this isn't going to be like "THOSE OTHER GAMES" referring to and describing the battlefield series. What's with the semi/"ultra" realistic physics? Aiming was at least possible in battlefield!

Pack your bags! Australian game reviewers offered hookers -
Well, let's see, the advertising support is a common practice. So are the trips and gifts (those are just called junkets). The money is interesting -- but hookers? In Australia? Imagine what the American game reviewers get offered. EGM Editor Dan Hsu's now classic editorial spoke to this issue, but to this day he hasn't stepped up to the plate with a follow-through. A lot of issues dredged up in Young's post are just the truth of what happens. It's dirty and it's sad. None of it is anything the magazines and review sites don't have to deal with every single day ... it's just the hookers that make this story over the top. [via ScreenPlay, thanks Flyingdoormat
When hookers are offered to game reviewers for better scores ... well, the game industry just got a whole lot more interesting! Official Australian PlayStation 2 Magazine's former editor Richie Young says he was offered sex, money, gifts, overseas trips and advertising support to influence game review scores.
